Hi, I have made two separate trip to Kuala Kubu Bahru, Selangor recently with friends and colleagues. First and for most, I would like to say sincere thanks to my all my u-mates, friends, colleagues. Thanks for providing happiness, laughs, helps througout the four trips (first two trips were on early April). I love u all!!!!!!!!

We started the trip early morning from Petaling Jaya around 7am. We stopped at Rawang area,Selangor around 8am to have our breakfast, to fuel up our body. We have basically smooth drive all the way following old road to Kuala Kubu Bahru because less traffic during early morning on Sunday and public holiday. Then, we reach Kuala Kubu Bahru around 9am. Before we reach the entrance point of the water fall, we saw the Kuala Kubu Bahru dam as shown in the pic. The pic only shows part of the dam, it is huge!! and beautiful!! wow !! The view is very natural , green and refreshing!

Fellows, this is the overflow outlet of the dam. Hey, this is further confirmed by my friend who is a phd holder in mechanical engineering. Let me know if it is not, I will ‘boo’ my phd friend. Logically me and my friends also think this is the overflow outlet. Or else it would be at the bottom if it is a water discharge outlet. Put aside the book part, the view also very grand and water sucked into the outlet quite fast yet silky smooth. We continued our driving and reached the entrance point of the Kuala Kubu Bahru around 9:30am.

We started our walk, walk, laugh laugh and about 15min we reached our first river to cross. Along the way, the air is very fresh and cooling!! I inhaled deeply several times. Emm.. very refreshing. Hope that people in KL can have this kind of air everywhere and everyday. We took the hanging bridge on 3rd and 4th trip coz it was just completed by then. The water is clear and chilling and there r fishes in the river!! First time ever i saw this amount of fishes in waterfall river. And the size of fish is average a palm size. The river width is about 15-20ft, dept is 2-3 ft. We crossed the river then with the helping hands of team friends. The river is not so rush except for the 3rd trip coz of heavy rain on the midnite itself prior to our morning journey. The different between 3rd trip and other trips is the water is much more rush and the depth of water raise by 1/2 ft to 1ft. The feeling of touching the water with your body while crossing is amazing. Cool…

Ok. Then we walk along the track. There are no step or road built for the trek. Just a narrow, watery, muddy (some part) trek. Along the trek, there are fern leaves on both right and left sides, seems that they are welcoming we all with their hands. Later we found the cute little bird (shown in the picture) just beside the trek nesting. It looked at us innocently and we took some pictures, then we continue journey. Later, we crossed the river again again and again, up to six times. The route is quite easy to find and obvious. And if we found no more track ahead, we crossed the river. The tip to track here is simple, crossed the waterfall river when you found yourself at the very end of the track, and keep repeating this will lead to the top.

After crossing the river for 5th times, which timed on about 11am, we reached a place which is quite steep. I should say about 60degree steep. It took us 15 minutes to climb up the slope and we reached a platform shown in the picture. At this platform, we could view the 10 storey high water fall. Beware of footsteps, the platform is quite small only. Water is falling fast and in huge amount. Malaysia really is a country gifted with many natural resources!!! Malaysia Boleh!!

Look, we are lucky to capture rainbow at the bottom area of the waterfall!!! This view only can be captured from the platform which is 10 storey high from the bottom. Alot of WOW factor up there!!!

It took the other 15min to come down from the sloppy area. Then we crossed the 6th river. After 5-10 minutes, we reached the area shown in the picture. Top area of this picture is actually the rainbow part of the waterfall shown in previous picture. Which means, over here we could not see the 10 storey high waterfall. This is lower part, secondary water fall, a smaller one. Smaller?? seems still quite big. Yeah, it is still big. We took a swim over here. Relaxed our body and soul. You could open your eye inside the water while you will feel no pain to the eye. Because the water is clean and clorin free!! And when you put down your head inside the water, you will feel your facial skin is chilling and refreshing.

Along the ways, we saw many colourful butterfly, dragon fly, giant ants, bees. Green, yellow, purple, red and so on. This is one of the beautiful butterfly found at the top there. Pretty, rite? Around 2pm, we started to walk down, it took us around 1 1/2 hours to reach to the exit point. Walking down is easier and shorter time taken. So, around 3:30pm we drove back to Petaling Jaya. We stopped at Ulu Yam Lama on 1st trip, Ulu Yam Bahru on 2nd and 3rd trip. The ‘Sai-To’ fish cake and ‘Loh Mee’ at Ulu Yam Lama is delicious. While at Ulu Yam Bahru, the Guiness Stout chicken wing tasted good. Except on 3rd trip, the chicken tasted like banana flavoured chicken rather than guiness stout. Sorry guys!! You have no luck to taste it on 3rd trip.
